Making a difference

The Dogtail Soup concerts raised a lot of money for two very good causes that are close to our hearts.

After all the beans have been counted, and costs covered, I’m delighted to announce that the two Dog Tail Soup shows in Skibbereen on the 3rd and 4th of August 2016 raised a total of €4,638.00 which was split between our two nominated charities; West Cork Rapid Response and Brú Columbanus. Almost half of that total came from the donations in the charity buckets after the shows, which was wonderfully generous of everyone. So I’d like to say a special ‘thank you’ to everyone who attended the shows and especially those who dug deep into their pockets afterwards.

So far, we’ve raised a total of just over €8,500 for Brú Columbanus from a mixture of online donations (via mycharity.ie which is now part of everydayhero.com/ie), money collected at Colin’s funeral and memorial service, and now these shows. We’re not going to stop at this figure though, watch out for some exciting news coming soon.
